Why you shouldn't be nice to your kids...

It upsets the balance of the earth and throws everything off. Really. After school I took Cameron to Target to use the 80 some-odd dollars he got for his birthday. He only brought 65, 40 in gift certificates and 25 in cash. He decides he wants Tony Hawk Underground 2, and we walk around looking for someone to open the cabinet and get it, pressed the help button and generally acted kije an ass. The game was 40 bucks, which my son knew, but he didn't know that was all of his gift cards. (Which obviously makes sense). When I told him just give the guy the GC's, he's like, "ALL of them?!" and then tells the guy he doesn't want it anymore. The guys like, "What?" "HE DOESN'T WANT IT NOW!," I say and we walk away. Fast forward almost an hour, and he has chosen to buy The Chronicles of Riddick, Shrek Operation, a shirt, some gloves, popcorn and an icee, with 20 dollars left over.

So then I take Vicky to basketball 30 min early and she practices for practice. The boys played at the park and I listened to bad word songs on my i-pod while slowly freezing solid. Sometime in my frozen fugue my brain decided to spit out the idea of taking the kids to eat at the new Islands that opened friday, so after practice I headed over there. And left. HUGE parking lot, no parking, 50 people waiting in a line in front of the restaurant. SO we went to Chevy's, where the waitress assured me she was stupid and they weren't busy (or mayber just the latter) and 30 minutes later we are still waiting for our food while our waiter rushes around like a chicken with his head cut off.

So now I am finally home, attempting to get my kids to finish their homework amidst crying from Joey about how he hates homework and showers and wants a bath, and Cameron playing with his RC jeep telling me he IS looking for a pencil, he just can't find one. And he was looking SO hard too... If I can just get them into the showers and in bed before 11...

Chris is also out of town tonight, and I am missing him like crazy. I don't know how to live without this guy, he's my best friend, my confidant, my support, and my outlet. Can't wait till he get's home.
