OMG I am SO mad

So I am greeted upon picking up my children with them screaming that a 7th grader broke into their school with either a knife or a gun and they were locked down in their classrooms. By all accounts (including 2 of the teachers I spoke with) the students were told to remain in their classrooms through second recess. When I got to the school there were still 3 police cars lined up across the rear exit. I went to the office to inquire about the situation, and was completely blown off. WTF IS THAT??! The office "lady" not so politely told me that it was a "student situation". I asked what kind of student situation to which she rolled her eyes and emphasized for me, cause I am stupid, A STU-DENT situation. Yeah bitch, I got that, now where is the principal? Busy. With the cops. For their "situation". Now I am pretty sure the kids were OK because they were all let out of class and such, and one of the teachers said he beleives that one of the special ed kids ran away and was missing, which would explain the woman we saw sobbing by the curb in front of the school, but still. No matter WHAT the situation, if a parent wants to know what is going on, (which they SHOULD and I am disgusted that I didn't see a single other parent enquiring even though I saw dozens of kids running out shaky and telling their parents the same story I heard, and saw the parents shocked and worried faces) there is just no fucking way you should blow them off. And beleive me, I will SO be complaining about this.
